Made to Rise was born from a dream: to show that fashion can transform lives. We believe every accessory can tell a story, carry a voice, and become a symbol of hope.
Our products are handmade by women in Uganda who, with talent, creativity, and effort, transform recycled materials such as sugar or cement bags—combined with colorful African fabrics like kitenge— into unique pieces full of life and meaning.
Each accessory represents more than style: it is an expression of the resilience and strength of women who fight for a dignified future. Every purchase directly supports Women Rising for Africa projects that promote education, training, and economic independence for these women and their communities.

Our mission is to offer sustainable and beautifully designed accessories that promote the empowerment of women in Uganda. Through material reuse and preservation of traditional African textiles, we combine creativity and social responsibility. Each product helps fund Women Rising for Africa’s projects focused on education, training, and community development.
