Next Thursday, December 4 at 7 p.m., Women Rising for Africa will celebrate Rise Together: A Night for the Women of Africa, a solidarity event that will bring together inspiration, art, music and purpose with the aim of supporting African women who are building a fairer and more sustainable future.
The evening will open with the photo-exhibition “Invisible Women”, by Liliane Felix, an exhibition that seeks to give visibility to the stories, strength and resilience of African women who rarely occupy space in public narratives, but who are leading profound transformations in their communities.
The event will also include the official presentation of the projects of Women Rising for Africa and the WOW programme, focused on safe mobility, technical training and economic independence of young women through training in professional driving, e-mobility and entrepreneurship.
One of the most anticipated moments will be the launch of the “Made to Rise” line, a collection of sustainable products handmade by women in Uganda using recycled African fabrics and reclaimed materials. Each piece reflects creativity, identity and the opportunity to generate a decent income.
The night will also include drinks, snacks and music by DJ Anna Ferris, who will bring a selection of afro beats and other surprises to create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
Rise Together promises to be much more than an event: it will be a gathering to celebrate collective power, make female talent visible, and continue to drive real opportunities for women who are leading change in Africa.
