This privacy policy (hereinafter, the ” Privacy Policy “) applies to all personal data that you provide to the Mujeres Rising for Africa, P.O. Box 08112 Barcelona, Spain. (hereinafter ” Mujeres Rising for Africa “). Personal data is understood as that information about a natural person that allows their identification, directly or indirectly.

We treat your personal data, based on the current relationship you maintain with us, and that may have been provided through different means, such as, among others, a form on the Web, participation in one of our campaigns and request to receive electronic information about our activity.

In this policy we explain how Mujeres Rising for Africa protects and guarantees the security of your personal data, making use of appropriate and adequate technical and organizational security measures:

I- RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TREATMENT

Mujeres Rising for Africa, as data controller , is concerned with compliance with legal obligations regarding the protection of personal data, in particular, complying with our information obligations. In addition, we are at your disposal for any questions or concerns that may arise in this regard.

At any time, you can contact us either by email info@womenrisingforafrica.org or by post by sending a communication addressed to the Person Responsible for Personal Data of Mujeres Rising for Africa at P.O. Box 08112 Barcelona, Spain, in case of any doubt or need you have regarding the protection of personal data.

II- PURPOSES OF TREATMENT AND LEGITIMATION

For the purposes of the provisions of Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 regarding the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free circulation of these data and for which repeals Directive 95/46/CE (‘ RGPD ‘), we inform you that Mujeres Rising for Africa will treat the personal data that you have provided us for the following purposes and under the legal basis that we detail below:

In some cases, we will process personal data in relation to your image, for which your consent will be obtained when deemed necessary and the processing is not covered by any of the above purposes and legal bases.

Mujeres Rising for Africa informs you that if you are a user of our website we can create an automated file with the personal data that you provide us through, which could be used for the purpose of making statistics, managing incidents or carrying out market studies, among other activities. Said treatment will be based on the legitimate interests of Mujeres Rising for Africa.

The non-completion of certain personal data will prevent us from providing all those services for which said data is necessary.

III- DATA CONSERVATION PERIOD

We will keep your personal data for the time necessary to fulfill the purposes described above based on the legal bases that enable the treatment. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the conservation will also be carried out for the period that is necessary for the formulation, exercise or defense of potential claims and/or whenever permitted by applicable law. In the latter case, your personal data will only be processed for the purpose of proving compliance with legal or contractual obligations to which we are subject.

IV.- RECIPIENTS OF THE DATA

In no case will we communicate, exploit your personal data or use it for a purpose other than that detailed above. It is worth mentioning that the data may be communicated to the employees and collaborators of the Mujeres Rising for Africa Foundation who need to know information about you to carry out tasks related to the purposes indicated above.

To this end, we inform you that your personal data may be transferred to other offices of the Mujeres Rising for Africa Foundation, which will apply the same technical and organizational security measures to guarantee the proper processing of your personal data. 

Some organizations that collaborate with Mujeres Rising for Africa, such as media agencies, travel agencies, or financial agencies, among others, may have access to them as data processors, so that we can carry out our work. Sometimes this third party can be found in countries outside the European Economic Area that do not offer an adequate level of security according to the RGPD. In these cases, we sign a written contract between both parties that includes the standard contractual clauses according to standards approved by the European Commission for the transfer of personal information outside the European Economic Area. In any case, the transfer, conservation and management that we carry out of your personal information will continue to be governed by this Privacy Policy.

Likewise, we inform you that the data related to your contribution will be communicated to the Tax Agency in order to process your tax benefits, as well as to those other control authorities that request your data, provided that all the legally established precepts are respected.

V.- YOUR RIGHTS

Mujeres Rising for Africa informs you about the possibility of exercising your rights of access, rectification, deletion, portability and limitation of the processing of personal data that we have collected.

Additionally, you will have the right to oppose the processing of your personal data in the cases included in the applicable data protection regulations.

You can exercise these rights, by yourself or by someone who represents you, by means of a written and signed request addressed to the Person in Charge of Personal Data of Mujeres Rising for Africa, through:

Said request must contain the following information: your name and surnames, address for the purposes of notifications, a photocopy of your National Identity Document or Passport, and a request specifying the request. In the case of representation, you must prove it by means of a reliable document. To send this request you can use the models made available by the Spanish Agency for Data Protection , which can be signed electronically.
In addition to the above rights, in the event that it is the legal basis for the processing of your personal data, you also have the right to withdraw the consent granted at any time by means of the
procedure described above, without said withdrawal of consent affecting the legality of the treatment prior to its withdrawal, and without in any case conditioning the processing of personal data carried out under another legal basis. Mujeres Rising for Africa may continue to process your personal data to the extent permitted by applicable law.

In general, we respond to requests within one month, although depending on the complexity and number, the deadline could be extended for another two months, in which case we will notify you.

Finally, we remind you that you have the right to file a claim with the relevant control
authority.

SAW. MODIFICATIONS TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

Mujeres Rising for Africa reserves the right to modify its Privacy Policy in accordance with the applicable legislation at any time. In any case, you can consult any modification of the Privacy Policy on our website.
